G-Drive

After reading this month's article on external harddrives in Macworld, I decided to pick up a FW400/800 250GB G-Drive from G-Technology. I thought it was about time to have a backup plan for all my data.
The speed of moving 27GB of data was impressive, and it wakes up relativly fast from sleep. Poking around the net, I found that Apple couldn't yeild the same speed on their usb2.0 port as Windows, so I went with a FW800 connection. So far so good, and yes, I fell victim to aesthetics... but it sure looks purtty ontop of the G5.

TraceWatch Web Stats App

Tired of the lame stats page from Dreamhost. So I just installed Tracewatch, a PHP app using MySql database, install was quick and simple, and everything seems to be working fine. Reporting screens are clean, intuitive, and easily accessible. The coolest feature is the individual user path analysis. It takes at least a week of traffic to get a good graph, so more to come soon...

E3 2005

And it's here! The next generation of console war. The big three unveiled their machines this week: Sony PS3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Revolution. Out of these 3, I must say that Nintendo's machine looks the best, as far as the graphics goes, we'll have to wait to see.

Exciting Times in NBA

This was a year of personnel change in the NBA. With many key players like Shaq, Vladi, Weber, Nash, and Carter moving around, it sure makes for an exciting first round of playoffs. Sonic oust Kings?

Now I can upload and create an entry right from iPhoto, pretty sweet. I wish there was a place where I can enter text though.Photon

Google Map

Ok, back from almost a week of being sick as a dog, just starting to feel better today. From my first look at the goole map, the zoom function feels very smooth, and the directions seems to be pretty accurate after punching in 2 familiar destinations. Just added is support for the Safari and Opera web browsers.

It's official, no more hockey this year or perhaps ever?

I've lost all respect for this sport.

Of course, I understand the importance of getting paid for what you're worth, but is that enough to not play the sport that you love?

Second part of our Honeymoon is booked

I can't believe I'm going back to the motherland. We'll be flying out of newark on a 16 hour direct flight to Hong Kong. I'm going to need some major gaming power to be on the plane for that long. Thinking about just bringing the SP, but the $150 price tag on a DS sounds really tempting.
